Narrative:
This painting is based on a personal experience of Rodney Majuste, a Haitian-American veteran of the Iraq war. He was 22 years old at the time of the telling of this narrative. His story are "folded" with the story of an Iraqi woman (Riverbend a.k.a "Girlblogger") who wrote about the war from an insider's point-of-view.

In this painting, the miltary's ghost of all things (Jody) haunts soldiers in a tent during the Iraq War. American soldiers cut down the people's sacred trees as a city burns in the background.
